While you should not necessarily care what other people think, if you do not feel happy with yourself or happy in your life then you need to make changes in your life to improve for you. Positive emotions make you feel warm inside. Your whole attitude and demeanor changes when you are experiencing positive emotions. People look to you for guidance and may even wonder how you can stay so positive. While a positive person accepts the fact that any emotion can be positive, they do not excessively wallow in the need to be pitied. This allows them to experience the emotion, learn from the experience, and move on with their lives as a result. Positive Emotions Nearly every emotion can be positive, but there are emotions, which are nearly always positive. These emotions make you feel good about yourself, generally lead to healthy self-esteem levels, and can lead to feelings of contentment, especially where relationships are concerned. Happiness can be seen and is personified through smiling. You may feel like singing for joy when you are happy. You are upbeat, self-confident, and willing to speak up for yourself and others who need your help when you experience happiness. Happiness in a relationship can truly make or break a couple. If you are not happy, you will not feel any sense of contentment. You may end up depressed, and you may fight excessively with your partner. There are better ways to handle disagreements. If you are two very different people then maybe it was not meant to be. If it was then happiness when you are with them or in a general sense, should be felt and experienced. Serenity: If you feel the positive emotion of serenity, then you know what it is like to be at peace with yourself. Serenity is a very calming emotion to have. The serene nature of those who experience this emotion can lead to respect from others and admiration as well. Serenity is very important for the emotional and mental wellbeing of a person. If you do not find the balance in your life that serenity provides, you may be constantly looking for what is missing from it. Only then, when you find it, can you continue on the path to grow and learn from your mistakes. Other positive emotions come directly from happiness and serenity.
